回転シール法は、KS-Xリングを回転軸の封止に用いるもので、KSーXリングの内径が軸径より2~5%大きなリングを選定するシール法です。
また、回転速度が接線速度で30m/分を超える場合に適用され、30m/分以下の場合は往復運動用のみぞ寸法が適用されます。
KS-Xリングは半径方向に圧縮されて、溝の底面と軸に押し付けられます。圧縮の結果として、Xリングはみぞ内でほぼ正弦波の形状を取り、両側面で支持されます。
シールを高圧(5MPa以上)条件下で効果的に使いたい場合、あるいは軸と穴のすきまがKS-X寸法表固定・往復運動用寸法に記載されているすきまより大きくなる場合は、バックアップリングを組み込んでください。
NBR(硬度70°)材は、一般的仕様、すなわち、平均的な圧力(最高15MPa)、最高接線速度120m/分、および温度約80℃以下で作動油を封止する場合の材料として推奨します。
KS-Xリングの材料は、使用条件に合わせて選択してください。
